However, you make no mention of typical year-round temperatures. For example, Visalia, Calif., may be affordable, but summers there can be oppressively hot—often exceeding 100 degrees. Additionally, winter temperatures in Connecticut generally drop below freezing, so retirees considering a move to Middletown would need to be prepared for cold weather.
